Kobe Against the World!

 

This is just an applause to the GREATEST player since Magic, Jordan and Bird to ever grace the hardwood floor, and his name is Kobe Bryant. Since the trade rumors before the start of the 07′-08′ season, Kobe has been playing like a complete mad man being unleashed like Jet Li in that one movie. His entire game has evolved to a level which is out of this world, LITERALLY! He can keep an opponent at his own will which makes it exscrutiatingly hard to keep him contained because you are not going to STOP him. Check out some of his mindboggling stats this week which gave him Player of the Week nominations next to Toronto’s Chris Bosh.

Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers 

• Jan. 8 @ Memphis: Scored 25 points and added three rebounds, six assists and five steals in a 117-101 victory over the Grizzlies.
•  Jan. 9 @ New Orleans: Posted 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the Lakers’ 109-80 win over the Hornets.
• Jan. 11 vs. Milwaukee: Tallied 37 points, five rebounds and seven assists as the Lakers topped the Bucks 110-105.

• Jan. 13 vs. Memphis: Scored 37 points for the second game in a row, connecting on 14-of-15 free throws and added four steals in a 100-99 win over the Grizzlies.
• Bryant helped the Lakers to a 4-0 week, which included wins over the Hornets, Bucks and the Grizzlies twice. Bryant averaged 29.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 3.5 steals on the week. Closing the week with back-to-back 37-point performances, Bryant upped his season average to 27.0 ppg, second best in the NBA to LeBron James’ 29.1 ppg. The Lakers are riding a six-game winning streak and at 25-11, they own the second best record in the Pacific Division and the third best record in the Western Conference.
